Is Northwest Airlines World Business Class really as good as it seems?
I just wanna know if the food is good? Are the beds comfortable and easy to sleep in? Is the staff friendly? Is it worth it to buy a business class ticket, just for the flat-bed, service, and meals?
My Flight is an 8hr and 50min flight from Memphis to Amsterdam. And an 8hr 50min flight from Amsterdam to Detroit
And my flight, from MEM to AMS is an overnight flight.
Depends on how long your flight is. If it’s an overnight flight then yes absolutely it is worth it. I flew first class from Newark to France and it was worth every penny.

Whether it’s worth the extra cost is a matter of personal opinion. It’s definitely not cheap, but it is far superior to the cramped seating and bad food in economy class.
Based on my experience with Northwest, the food is typically decent, the staff is frequently indifferent, and the service is okay (but not outstanding). The seats are comfortable and roomy, but not quite up to the standards of many foreign airlines. In other words, they’re usually comparable to most other domestic airlines.
Assuming that you are flying on an A330, which is the aircraft that is usually used on this route, the seats have a 60 inch seat pitch (which is quite roomy) and a 176 degree recline. That means that you can recline to an almost-flat position, but you are trying to sleep on a slight angle. Many foreign airlines have seats with true 180 degree recline.
The best thing about Northwest is that the flight is nonstop, which is worth a lot to most travelers. If you’ve got the money or the frequent flyer miles, business class is a far nicer and more comfortable way to travel.
