How much do executive assistant's make in small non-profit organizations?

with 4 comments

I work for a small but growing non-profit film festival in Glen Cove. I work closely with the Executive Director. I have knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and two fundraising programs called Tessitura and Raisers Edge. Salary is in re-negotiations. Please advise.

  1. It varies HUGELY, depending on the size of the organization and where it’s located. An organization in Los Angeles is going to pay more than in, say, Smith’s Grove, Kentucky. And an organization with 100 employees is going to pay more than an organization with just 10 or less.

  2. Hmmm as Jayne says it depends how big organization it is and how strong position it have, if it bigger player in the game you can want more but if you will go to the smaller one than you can climb higher if you’re really good and hardworking person.

  4. I think it just depends on the size of the organization and the job description. I imagine it might not be as competitive as some other industries but it should be fair.
