How lenient is Thai Airways with baggage weighing more than the limit?

with 3 comments

I am traveling by Thai Airways as economy traveler I have maximum baggage limit of 20 kg. Now, as it seems, it might be more than that, maybe like 5 kg tops. Are they lenient about it, or do they charge if it like 1kg more.

If so, how much for 1 kg.

Thanks,
Hitankar

  1. My bags are always over the limit and nothing happens, unless its way over the limit

  2. They will excuse 1-2kgs.If you carrying more than 5 kgs then they will charge it extra.

  3. I can’t speak directly to Thai Airways. But, when I am traveling, in general, it seems that they are cracking down on limits more these days. With 5kgs. over, they will likely have some extra charge.
